Haris Rauf has been named ICC Men’s Player of the Month for November 2024. The announcement was made by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday.
The Pakistani fast bowler had an excellent performance during Pakistan’s tour of Australia. Rauf took 10 wickets in three One Day Internationals (ODIs), helping Pakistan win their first ODI series in Australia in 22 years.
By the end of November, Rauf had a total of 18 wickets, which earned him the monthly award. He beat India’s Jasprit Bumrah and South Africa’s Marco Jansen to win the honor.
Rauf’s best performance came in the second ODI against Australia. Pakistan was trailing 1-0 in the three-match series. Rauf delivered an outstanding bowling performance in Adelaide, taking 5 wickets for just 29 runs. His effort helped Pakistan bowl out Australia for just 163 runs, and Pakistan won the match by 9 wickets, tying the series 1-1.
In the final ODI, Rauf took two more wickets and was named Player of the Series as Pakistan won 2-1.
Rauf continued his great form in T20Is, taking five wickets in three matches, including four wickets in a single game in Sydney.
Haris Rauf’s performance in November 2024 has been a testament to his growing stature in world cricket.
